Since its formation Multiple Access Communications Limited (MAC Ltd) has worked on and evaluated the specifications, designs and capabilities of new radio technologies. We combine this wealth of experience with an understanding and appreciation of the challenges facing equipment manufacturers and service providers alike.
Outsourcing key technical assessments and evaluations to MAC Ltd provides our customers with a cost-effective, flexible resource that can be called upon when required. MAC Ltd has the experience and expertise to perform technical assessments and evaluations efficiently and effectively, and our independence means that you are assured of balanced, impartial advice.
One way we assist our customers is to provide technical assessments that help with the formulation of responses to consultations about matters such as future spectrum licensing, usage and trading. Another is to provide highly detailed evaluations of particular technical issues, ranging from analysis and comparisons of radio access technologies and system-level studies, to work that focuses on a specific item of network equipment.
Most projects require some form of technical analysis. This might be a theoretical study, such as advising our customers on the validity of the claims of one or more patents, or it might be that we provide rigorous theoretical analysis and/or computer simulation and modelling, including but not limited to...
- RF link analysis (eg, multiple access schemes and multi-user detection)
- Native C++ code and MATLAB simulations
- System-level capacity and interference analysis
- Assessments of alternative, competing or new technologies
Nearly all projects require generation of some form of project documentation, such as reports, presentations and training material. MAC Ltd prides itself on being able to generate authoritative reports, white papers and presentations for any target audience, as well as being able to prepare and deliver training courses that meet our customers' requirements.
We can manage an entire project, such as outlined in the diagram below, take responsibility for a particular part of the project, or work as part of the customer's team on different parts of the project as required. We can develop specific simulation and analysis tools, which we can, if desired, develop into tools that the customer can continue to use post-deployment.
