ASPE - the "Advanced Signal

Processing Engine"

The ASPE is a high performance, software configurable, DSP platform, utilising state-of-the-art analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue converters, a one million gate FPGA (Xilinx Virtex-II) and a Texas Instruments DSP processor (TMS320VC5509A). The ASPE can be configured to carry out a wide range of tasks including the processing of intermediate frequency (IF) signals and the output of baseband data. Features include:
